Electric Water Heaters

Oakdale Electric Cooperative will rebate $150 on an electric water heater at least 50 gallons but less than 80 gallons and $300 on an electric water heater 80 gallons and larger to all qualifying members. Members must allow for installation of a cooperative load control device on the water heater and submit the purchase receipt before the rebate will be processed. Limit of one rebate per service location per 5 year period.

Central Air Conditioner Incentive

New energy efficient central air conditioners, air source heat pumps, or geothermal heat pumps or commercial air conditioning units are eligible for incentives. The incentives on geothermal heat pumps is based on the cooling capacity of the units.

• Central air conditioners
  • SEER 14.0 - $40.00 per ton
  • SEER 15.0 - $60.00 per ton
  • SEER 16 or greater - $80.00 per ton
• Air source heat pumps 14 SEER or greater - $120.00 per ton
• Geothermal heat pumps - $200.00 per ton  
• Commercial a/c units.  EER 11.0 or higher-$40 per ton         

Save more on your air conditioning costs by signing up for a Load Management Program. Incentives for residential systems are subject to your participation in either of these two programs:

• Air Conditioning Load Management program - Members participating in this program get a $8.00/month credit from June, July, and August, for allowing their central air conditioning units to be cycled during peak demand periods. Applies only to central air conditioners.  Energy usage must be 400 kWhs or higher.
• Dual Fuel program - Members participating in this program may connect their central air conditioning unit to this program and receive a reduced rate for allowing it to be controlled during peak demand periods. Applies to central air conditioners, air-source and geothermal heat pumps.

ENERGY STAR Appliance Incentives
When buying an appliance, remember that it has two price tags: what you pay to take it home and what you pay for the energy and water it uses. ENERGY STAR qualified appliances incorporate advanced technologies that use 10–50% less energy and water than standard models. The money you save on your utility bills can more than make up for the cost of a more expensive but more efficient ENERGY STAR model.
Oakdale Electric Cooperative is now offering an incentive on the following Energy Star Appliances:

The incentives are for purchases made between January 1 and December 31, 2010. A copy of the Energy Star label from the appliance along with the purchase receipt must be submitted to the cooperative office in order for your incentive to be honored. The incentive will be applied as a credit on your electric account.

Energy Efficient Retrofit Lighting Program
The purpose of the retrofit lighting incentive program is to encourage energy efficiency and provide value to agricultural, commercial, or industrial members. The program is offered to cooperative members that wish to improve the efficiency of existing, retrofit only, lighting systems. Three types of energy efficient lighting systems qualify for incentives. Ballasts and fixtures must be hard-wired to qualify. Any combination of five ballasts or fixtures is required as a minimum to qualify for the rebate.
