Being that May is National Electrical Safety Month, we think it’s a great time to reinforce the lifesaving lessons of staying safe around electricity. Tell us, in 250 words or less, how you plan to teach your students about safe electricity use at home, outdoors, and in the classroom this month.
At 3:26 PM, there was an an insulator failure on a switch pole outside the Armenia Substation. This caused the pole to catch on fire. This event caused the high side fuse at the substation to open, which resulted in the entire substation being out of power. Repairs at the substation were completed and the majority of the members were back in service at 6:45 PM. The burned pole and associated equipment were changed out with the remaining members all back at 11:45 PM.
